We endeavour to provide our children with child centred, rounded experiences. Listed below are some of the specialist provisions and activities for learners at Myrddin Special Needs and Autistic Unit:
¨ Alternative communication systems – PECS, Core Boards, Signalong, Objects of Reference, Multi-sensory experiences, switches, low and high tech VOCAs, Eye Gaze
¨ Input from specialist teachers e.g. HI/VI and music
¨ Specialist adaptations for access to IT curriculum
¨ Multi sensory curriculum and environments e.g. white room, U/V room, soft play room, indoor sensory garden and therapy area, Magic Carpet, Projection system
¨ Physiotherapy monitored by specialist physiotherapist, O.T. input
¨ Hydrotherapy in school jacuzzi
¨ Sensory Integration Therapy e.g. TAC PAC, Sensology, Story Massage, Aromatherapy
